Mom First,
Wherever She Is.
Momcozy set out to localize App 3.0 for North America around a new “Mom First” philosophy. I led the product localization effort, working alongside a local design agency responsible for visual exploration and brand expression.
Through research, workshops, and user interviews, I translated local insights into product principles, experience improvements, and new product opportunities.
What began as a visual localization brief revealed a deeper product challenge. While a new visual direction could make the app feel more relevant to the North American market, research showed that localization also needed to reflect different expectations around care, product usability, and shared responsibilities.
The Insight
Localization goes beyond how a product looks.
For North American moms, “Mom First” needed to show up not only in the brand, but in how the product supports care, control, and everyday life.
Creative Direction & Partnership
Defining a new visual language
I guided the creative partnership between client stakeholders and our agency team, turning research, market insights, and competing perspectives into a clear, shared design direction.

The Insight
Localization beyond the interface
I used research and behavioral insights to identify where localization needed to go beyond visual expression, rethinking key moments around shared care, connected devices, and everyday routines.
My Approach
Turning “Mom First” into product experiences
Care shouldn’t be hers alone
Partner Mode lets trusted caregivers participate in everyday care, shifting the product away from a single-user model.
Logging without stopping what matters
Voice Log makes everyday tracking effortless in hands-busy, attention-limited moments.
Care Beyond the Individual
Circle of Strength
Bringing peer support, shared experiences, and expert guidance into one community, designed around how moms seek help, learn, and support one another.
What's Next
What if tracking could become guidance?
Turning everyday care data into personalized plans, predictions, and timely guidance.
Results
Following the App 3.0 rollout, Day-2 retention stabilized above 70%, up from ~55% before launch and peaking above 74% within the first week.
The redesigned experience reached ~40% of users in its first week, while session duration and launch frequency remained stable through the transition.
Post-launch feedback echoed the goal behind the redesign: making everyday care feel more connected, manageable, and reassuring.
